Center for Innovation and Free Enterprise Launches Education Campaign “IP: America’s #1 Asset”

The Center for Innovation and Free Enterprise (CIFE) is kicking off 2017 by highlighting the benefits of intellectual property and rolling out its “IP: America’s #1 Asset” education campaign.  In the coming 20 weeks, CIFE will offer insightful data, resources, and information about intellectual property to policymakers in the executive and legislative branches of the federal government.

“Intellectual property rights are the foundation of our nation’s economic growth and employment,” said Dee Stewart, CIFE President.  He went on to say, “Tens of millions of American jobs can be attributed to IP related industries that rely on patent, copyright, or trademark protections. America’s IP is worth trillions of dollars, dominating U.S. exports and allowing IP workers to make higher wages. IP is truly America’s #1 asset.”

“With a new President and Congress now in office, we want to highlight the benefits of IP and will fight to ensure that IP laws are promoted, protected, strengthened, and modernized.  Educating America’s leaders on this dynamic and critical issue set is an important step in that process.”

CIFE is a project of Americans for a Balanced Budget, a 501 c (4) organization originally founded in the 1980s that advocates for sound fiscal policies and a strong economic climate in the United States.
